Updated: IN FLAMES Video Confusion Clarified
April 17, 2005According to a posting on IN FLAMES' official web site, the band have finished shooting a video for the song "My Sweet Shadow" with director Patric Ullaeus of Revolver Film Company, who has previously worked with DIMMU BORGIR, CHILDREN OF BODOM and LACUNA COIL, among others. The shoot took place in early April, "and as usual, Patric did a glorious job. The video looks awesome and is really something extraordinary," reads a posting on the site.
As previously reported, IN FLAMES recently finished filming a video for the track "F(r)iend" with Ullaeus. It is believed that the "My Sweet Shadow" clip will be serviced to video outlets during the coming weeks while the "F(r)iend" video will be used exclusively on the band's upcoming DVD.
IN FLAMES have now finished recording the drums for their new album at the Dug-Out Studios in Uppsala, Sweden for a late 2005 release via Nuclear Blast. Singer Anders Fridén told Nuclear Blast magazine that the upcoming CD "will be more uptempo" and will feature "more guitar harmonies" than was the case with "Soundtrack to Your Escape".
In other news, IN FLAMES guitarist Björn Gelotte and bassist Peter Iwers collaborated with James Murphy (ex-DEATH, TESTAMENT, OBITUARY) on a tribute to late DEATH/CONTROL DENIED mainman Chuck Schuldiner. Björn plays on "Flattening of Emotions" from the DEATH album "Human", while Peter appears on "Baptized in Blood" from "Scream Bloody Gore".
